Conference center

Villagers will bring a variety of skills, and we will learn many other skills in building our village. Teaching these skills to others will be a major focus of EcoReality in the future, as part of its educational mandate.

To this end, an early common building will be a retreat/conference center, where villagers can hold classes and seminars in ecovillage building or other topics.

Since a retreat or conference center will need many of the same things needed by family houses or bedroom houses, it makes sense that this may be the first common building created.

For example, both a conference center and a residence will need a kitchen, laundry facilities, and "hanging out" space.
