Regular meetings: (Be sure to check full schedule, below.)
  • member's meetings are held on the last Sunday of each month, at 10:00-12:00, please request in advance to attend members' meetings.
  • members' teleconferences are held the Fridays preceding and following the monthly meeting weekend, for the convenience of non-resident members. Please request in advance to join a teleconference.
  • residents' meetings are held each Sunday, from 19:30-20:30. Please request in advance to attend residents' meetings.
  • work parties are the last Friday of the month, at 9:30 AM. Let us know in advance if you want lunch, otherwise drop-in at 9:30 AM or 1 PM.
  • tour/potluck/movie are every Saturday at 5/6/7:30 PM. (Tours spring through fall only.) Let us know if you're coming to potluck; otherwise drop-ins welcome.

Attendees: please be prepared! Read the previous meeting's minutes and the current meeting's agenda before any meeting you attend. People who are obviously unprepared may be asked to silently observe.

Friday, 24 July 2009 Work party

When? 
09:30 through 16:30, rain or shine. If the weather is really nasty, we'll try to have indoor work available.
Who? 
General public — all are welcome! No notice needed, unless you want lunch (see below). Residents will prepare a work plan and have tools and materials ready.
Where? 
Outside the EcoReality classroom, 2172 Fulford-Ganges Road, Salt Spring Island, BC V8K 1Z7 (How to get to EcoReality.)
What? 
A one-liner of things we're hoping to do goes here.
If you have an interest or ability or tools for a specific job please let us know and we will see if we can match you up with appropriate work if it works for the good of all involved.
Food? 
Work for the full six hours, and we are happy to provide lunch. If you want lunch, please let us know in advance so we can prepare enough food. If you're working less than the full day, please bring your own lunch. Munchies and snacks to share are always welcome!
Bring? 
Boots, work gloves, dirty clothes, water bottle, and whatever else you need for working outside. We have some extra gloves if needed. We have all of the tools necessary.

We realize that you are busy, and are working for free, but please understand that people arriving at various times throughout the day make it difficult for us to conduct the work party, and we ask that you try to arrive by 9:30 AM or 1 PM. If you arrive at other times, and no one is here to greet you, well, we're all off working!
