• Present:
  • Members: Jan Steinman, Carol Wagner, Rudy Siegers, investor Ron Pither, guest Emmanuel Roy, guest Azja Jones-Martin.
• Meeting starts 08:35
• Adenda approved.
• Minutes:20110531 approved.
• Skipped task list.
• Skipped calendar (was not working).
• Old Business:
  • Matters arising from old minutes
    • Strip sod of bern in prep for moving dirt to new greenhouse floor - ongoing.
    • Carol, Ron & Manu will go over a new seed order.
    • Ongoing - prep east field and plant more starts.
    • More irrigation for east field has been ordered.
    • Manu will build a small hoop house with existing material in east field.
  • Project updates:
    • yellow house skylights (Jan) No change.
    • emergency power (Jan) - No change, probably no action before fall.
    • commercial propagation greenhouse (Ron) - Ongoing
      • Cardboard & dirt are being moved in to raise floor above water.
      • Ron & Jan still working out the details of the permit process.
    • yellow house suite (Jan) - No change.
• New business:
  • AGREED to purchase another rototiller for $150 since it may be months before the other one is fixed.
  • Water system update from Jan: bought wrong replacement float switch, will exchange tomorrow. Tank needs to be re-positioned before it can be put back in service.
  • AGREED to move weekly residents' meetings to Wednesday (same time) to avoid conflict with Tuesday Market preparations.
  • AGREED to special resolution to add three new classes of investment shares,
  • AGREED to establish a formal community supported agriculture "food box" program, and to commence selling Class C investment shares, pending BC approval.
  • AGREED to formally name Azja Jones-Martin as EcoReality's CSA program steward, who will be responsible for setting up and running the CSA program, with the advice and consent of the directors.
  • AGREED to establish a formal dairy herd share program, and to commence selling Class D investment shares, pending BC approval.
  • AGREED to formally name Jan Steinman as EcoReality's agister, who will be responsible for running the dairy herd share program.
  • AGREED to establish a formal biodiesel share program, and to commence selling Class E investment shares, pending BC approval.
  • AGREED to formally name Jan Steinman as EcoReality's energy production steward, who will be responsible for running the biodiesel share program.
• Farm Meeting
• Arrival/Departures:
  • Greg away for 2 days.
  • Ron to Mayne today or tomorrow and will return with other wwoofers depending on weather.
• Plans for the week.
  • Ongoing farm prep and cleanup.
  • Work on floor of new greenhouse.
  • Continued transplants and starts.
  • Gather forage - ongoing.
  • Chip forage remains.
  • Scheduled an appreciation tour for Wednesdays at 4pm.
