- Present:
- Check-in
- Agenda approved
- Jan provided Ron and Rudy printed copies of the agenda.
- Minutes of previous meeting, 2012-01-18, approved.
- Old business:
- Matters arising from old minutes:
- Ron notes that he wanted and tried to be here for the last meeting.
- Ron objects to the approval of the minutes of the 4th of January. Refers to "totally ridiculous assertions," but didn't identify anything specific.
- Ron objects once again to the correspondence with CCEC, asserting that he is a director because he signed that document, despite what official BC Corporate Registry records show. Ron objects to Rudy's being a director.
- Ron is "not comfortable" with Christian's bees coming here. He has no specific objection, and knows nothing of Christian's knowledge nor ability, but was planning to bring his own bees here, which is the first this has been discussed since his bees were destroyed by American Foulbrood, typically spread via beekeeping equipment.
- Ron does not think it is "wise" for Carol to take over management of East field and greenhouse.
- Ron produced a large spreadsheet from 2009 showing planting plans for Fulford Organics as justification that he should continue managing these profit centres.
- Ron was unable to explain why he has not provided a similar spreadsheet nor budget for these two profit centres after five months of weekly reminders, except that he was uncomfortable with the "fortress mentality" here.
- Ron spent about 20 minutes telling us how much he had done, and how much he is worth to us, while accusing Jan and Carol of not being helpful.
- Jan thanked him for the tillage of the East Field, but noted that otherwise, he was largely absent most of the time.
- Ron agrees that he was responsible for the East Field last year, but notes that the wet spring is the reason the market garden lost money.
- Ron agrees that he took high-value goods out of that garden without asking nor accounting for it, but claims to have paperwork to show where it went.
- Ron had taken the missing broken rototiller that he sold to EcoReality to his farm on Mayne Island, without any notification nor discussion, claiming it was "not worth repairing."
- AGREED: Ron will return the missing EcoReality rototiller from his farm on Mayne Island to EcoReality.
- ACTION:
Ron will return the missing EcoReality rototiller from his farm on Mayne Island to EcoReality. (Ron Pither)
- At this point, an hour has passed with only last meeting's minutes being discussed, and Jan askes that further discussion be cut short in order to at least touch on the rest of the agenda.
