Who: general public, $5-$15 donation suggested

What: Living on Earth as if we wanted to stay is the theme of the talk. Mike Nickerson and his wife Donna Dillman present a talk and discussion about how the "Life" perspective, which says we need to preserve and enhance ecosystems and communities, conflicts with the "Money" perspective, which says we need to continuously expand production and consumption. Mike draws from his latest book, Life, Money & Illusion, which outlines new ways of organizing mutual provision (the economy) and a change in priorities that can lead to a long and joyous future. During this evening, Mike looks at the big picture, while Donna speaks to an 'on the ground' example of what needs changing. More information is available at their website.

There will be masking, wall-washing, patching, sanding, and maybe we'll even get around to painting! If your thumb is green, rather than off-white eggshell, join in cleaning up the "curb appeal" by trimming hedges, moving berms, re-fencing the garden, and general clean-up. And if neither of those appeal to you, you may be able to help pack up building materials, tools, etc. and possibly even help move a greenhouse. See you there!
