An heirloom from Hungary, Sweet Apple Pepper loves hot weather, but will still produce if the summer turns cool. Fat round fruits are good for eating right off the bush, even when young and pale. They're superb in the skillet as they redden up and ripen. Bushy plants grow 2' to 3' tall, are very productive and not fussy. Seeds are very hard to find outside Hungary.
