Proposed operational expenses policy - April 4, 2007


  • Establish yearly budget with cash flow projections:
    • Determine income for the year.
    • Determine operational expenses for the year which are not flexible (ie: insurance, taxes, utilities)
  • Determine amount of contingency to have within the budget.
  • Determine amount of emergency fund to have in the budget.
  • Determine amount to have available for capital improvements in the budget.
  • Determine comfortable amount for each member to contribute to the budget each year in yearly, quarterly or monthly installments.
  • Determine how much is left in the budget for flexible operational expeses (ie: farm labour, repairs, maintenance, upgrades)
