It would be nice to have a database of community resources to share. This will be in a password-protected part of the website that only members can access. Members will also be able to search the database if they have a need.

Here is the information I'm planning to gather. Please edit this list with your suggestions.

  • Contributor -- your name
  • Item Type -- a popup list with:
    • Tool
    • Book
    • Vehicle
    • Other -- lots of other possibilities; add them as you think of them!
  • Item Description -- including any identifying info, such as serial number, ISBN, etc.
  • Share Type -- a popup list with:
    • Contributed to community -- I will steward
    • Contributed to community -- needs steward
    • Willing to lend out -- I retain physical possession
    • Willing to lend out -- but kept in common area
    • Willing to let others use with my supervision
  • Location -- for example, "my house"
  • Approximate value -- for insurance or tracking capital
  • your idea here!

We are all resources as well! Here's a proposed format for a human resource catalog. Please edit and add your ideas! Most people will have multiple entries. We may find out a lot more about each other with this tool.

  • Short Description -- one or two word description, like "mechanic"
  • Long Description -- a paragraph or so with some detail of your expertise

  • Other -- add info you'd like to see here!

  • 1 - spade w/handle
  • 1 - kneeling pad
  • 1 - spading fork w/handle
  • 1 - draw hoe
  • 4 - shovels
  • 1 - thatching rake
  • 2 - garden rakes (one missing handle/one broken handle)
  • 4 - hose end watering wands
  • 2 - lawn edgers
  • 1 - landscaping rake
  • 2 - spuds
  • 2 - large mattocks (medium length handles)
  • 1 - trowel
  • 1 - long handle pruning/trimming shears
  • 1 - long handled cultivator
  • 1 - 3 prong hand weeder (green plastic coated tines)
  • 2 - dirt sifters
  • 6 - water timers
  • 1 - "Home Gardener" variable spray hand waterer (hose end)

I have not counted the hoses and there may be more stuff laying around that I've not found!
